As a farmer and co-founder of the SellMyLivestock site, Dan hasn’t had many brushes with the media before now, other than perusing his weekly farming magazine to check cattle prices. So the media interest in SellMyLivestock over the past two weeks has seen him rushing off to radio studios here there and everywhere! The latest interview for Farming Today on 11 June caused such interest at the BBC, it also ended up on Chris Evans’ breakfast show on Radio 2 just before 8.30am!

That was great news – except at the very time Dan’s phone started ringing off the hook with friends telling him he was speaking to almost 10m Radio 2 listeners, his cattle hatched a long-awaited escape plan, had opened their gate and were galloping down the lane. Luckily Dan managed to field both cattle and phone calls,  and says all the excitement will be good practice as trading starts to ramp up on SellMyLivestock!
